Job Description
Advocate Aurora Health/Advocate Children’s Hospital seeks a Full Time Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Pediatric Cardiologist to join our team. This position is part of the newly formed partnership of Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance.  The Alliance, a partnership between Advocate Children’s Hospital Heart Institute, Pediatrics at NorthShore University Health System, and UChicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital supports patients’ and families’ needs for the highest level of care with easier access to our network of pediatric cardiologists and adult congenital heart disease specialists throughout Chicago and the surrounding Chicagoland area.
  • Inpatient and outpatient consultations
  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows 
  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Eligible for an Illinois medical license
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
  • Fellowship in advanced heart failure and heart transplant
The Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance Heart Program is among the nation’s top Children’s heart program’s in the country. Our heart program includes 30 attending cardiologists, 6 categorical cardiology fellows, and several additional advanced fellows, four pediatric cardio-thoracic surgeons, and a dedicated cardiac anesthesia service. Our cardiac surgeons perform over 400 cardiac operations per year and achieve outcomes that rank among the best in the nation (STS-CHS-Database). We also have one of the highest ambulatory clinic volumes in the country with clinic sites throughout Chicago, the Chicago suburbs, Northern Illinois, and Northern Indiana. Our cardiac program is one of the largest in the Midwest and provides expertise in echocardiography, advanced cardiac imaging CT/MRI, electrophysiology, interventional cardiac catheterization, fetal cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, Marfan Syndrome, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, cardiac critical care, and preventative and rehabilitative cardiology.
