Critical Care – Tele-ICU

Join one of the nation’s largest, most respected health systems and experience what it means to live well. Advocate Health is seeking Adult Critical Care physicians to join our physician-led medical group and serve its patients remotely from Oak Brook, Illinois.

Located 20 miles west of Chicago, amid heavily wooded paths, you come across a sign for an equestrian crossing — and the occasional horse and rider. Blocks away, executives at global corporations talk strategy in gleaming office towers. Not far from that, shoppers stroll along one of the state’s largest malls, browsing through dozens of stores ranging from sleek boutiques to quick- service coffee kiosks.

Oak Brook is one of those suburbs that has maintained it’s historic, quaint — and in some areas, countrified — charm while moving forward into the future. That was true in 1971 when Ray Kroc was scouting land for the headquarters of his fledgling McDonald’s Corporation, and it’s true today when businesses and individuals look to establish roots or expand for the future.   

For every big home and big company in Oak Brook, there are small, simple treasures, whether it’s a large field on which to lie back and watch fireworks or the sound of rushing water on a creekside mill wheel.   

The convergence is enjoyable — and it’s also by design. “The Village of Oak Brook enjoys wonderful partnerships with the organizations that make it that way,” says Village Manager Rick Ginex. “Oakbrook Center, our hotels, our home owners associations, our Chamber, the DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau and our park district are really on the same page when it comes to maintaining the sense of what Oak Brook was envisioned when (village founder) Paul Butler started it.” Ginex is quick to add that the fact that Oak Brook is centrally and conveniently located near Chicago, local expressways and both metro airports have also helped cement Oak Brook’s status as a hub for both leisure and commerce.   

While Oak Brook is a major west suburban destination for Chicago-area visitors and global travelers alike, for the nearly 8,000 residents spread across several subdivisions, it’s also a distinctive place to live and the public schools in Oak Brook are highly rated.
