Job Description
The Advocate Christ Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join the program.
 
  • Support the teaching and supervisory of residents in both clinical and outpatient settings
  • Hospital rounding is performed in teams with residents
  • Residents/Attendings have the opportunity to work in the ICC setting
  • Approximately five 4-hour outpatient clinical sessions per week
  • Call is taken by resident physicians, with backup support provided by Faculty Attendings on an as-needed basis
About Advocate Christ Family Medicine Residency Program
Advocate Christ Medical Center is a comprehensive-care teaching and research hospital located one-half hour from downtown Chicago. It has 749 beds, a Level I trauma center and Level III NICU. Advocate Christ is a recognized leader in cardiovascular medicine, emergency, surgery, neuroscience, oncology and women's health services. Since 1996, it has shared its campus with Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn, a four-story facility that has 45 private inpatient rooms, a fifteen-bed pediatric intensive care unit and a nine-bed pediatric surgical heart unit.

The specialty care and training that our residents receive at these two facilities is unsurpassed and offers a tremendous learning environment for Family Physicians. Our diverse patient population and the strength of Family Medicine in our community ensure an education true to the ideals of our specialty. Our residency supports its learners with compassion and respect for the rigors of the specialty.

Since 1974, this program has been training Family Physicians who are leaders both locally and nationally.
