Pediatrics – Cardiovascular Intensive Care

Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Physician for our 16-bed PCICU at Advocate Children’s Hospital – Oak Lawn Campus located at 4400 95th St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. We are seeking a candidate that is Board Certified/ Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Intensive Care with additional subspecialty training in cardiac critical care.
 
Our ideal candidate will care for seriously ill cardiac infants, children and adults in a specialized Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.   Primary role will be to care for complex congenital heart patients including post-operative cardiac surgery patients and ECMO patients in concert with other specialists from multiple clinical areas.  Additional responsibilities will include strong engagement in resident and fellow education, telemedicine interpretations from partner institutions, clinical research opportunities and quality improvement projects.  Prefer experienced candidates with strong ties to the Chicagoland area.

The Advocate Children’s Michel Ilbawi Heart Institute is part of the Chicagoland Health Alliance. As part of the Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance, Advocate Children’s Hospital, Pediatrics at NorthShore University Health System and the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital have joined together to provide personalized care coordination services for children and families. Through our alliance, we’re introducing an integrated and comprehensive network of pediatric experts, from primary to highly specialized care, as well as maternal fetal medicine.
