Job Title: Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Physician

 

Duties: The Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Physician at Advocate Health and Hospitals Corporation in Chicago, IL will evaluate, counsel, and provide treatment for children, adolescents, and their families for a wide range of developmental and behavioral difficulties including learning disorders, attention and behavioral disorders, regulatory disorders, developmental disabilities, delayed development, and behavioral and developmental problems. The duties include treating and managing patients by prescribing or administering medication or working with a team of professionals, including psychologist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, neurodevelopmental disabilities pediatrician, child psychiatrist, child neurologist, nurse practitioner, physician's assistant, educational diagnostician, or clinical social worker to provide specialized therapies. Working with schools, preschools, and other agencies involved with developmental care and education to advocate for patients.

 

Minimum Requirements: Requires a minimum of a Medical Degree (M.D.) or its foreign degree equivalent, completion of an accredited residency in Pediatrics and an accredited fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and possession of a State of Illinois medical license.
