Job Description
Aurora Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to provide administrative and clinical guidance to clinicians around all facets of psychiatry. The Medical Director ensures that the program complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding the medical treatment of psychiatric patients.
  • Psychiatry board certification issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • 7 years of experience or greater
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Program Highlights:
  • 80% Clinical, 20% Administrative
  • Directs and coordinates all psychiatric and medical activities of the hospital and its programs
  • Collaborates with local Residents/Fellows with regard to education, clinical service and research goals
  • Supervises Medical Staff and establishes standards of psychiatric practice
  • Manages the functionality of the “On-Call” schedule
  • Develops organizational and strategic plans
