Job Title: Pulmonary Critical Care Physician
Duties: The Pulmonary Critical Care Physician at Aurora Medical Group, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI will provide in-patient and out-patient critical care, assessment and consultative services to patients with diseases affecting the lungs and related organs. The duties include diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of life threatening conditions that may require sophisticated organ support, invasive monitoring, oxygen therapy and/or mechanical ventilation. This includes hemodynamic instability, airway or respiratory compromise, acute renal failure, potentially lethal cardiac arrhythmias, or the cumulative effects of multiple organ failure. Analyzing pre- and post-admission records, reports, test results and/or examination information to diagnose and assess medical condition(s) of patients. Treating patients by prescribing or administering medication, therapy, vaccination, or other specialized medical care. Recording patient medical history during hospital admission. Maintaining close communication with referring physicians. Referring patients to further medical specialists or specialized hospital services when necessary. Up to 50% travel required to worksite in Cudahy, WI.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Medical Degree (M.D.) or foreign degree equivalent, completion of an accredited medical fellowship in the field of Critical Care, completion of an accredited medical fellowship in the field of Pulmonary Disease, and possession of a State of Wisconsin medical license.
