Advocate Health is seeking an acute care general surgeon to join our physician-led medical group and serve patients at several dedicated community hospitals in Milwaukee, Grafton, and Cudahy, Wisconsin.

  • Full-time acute care surgeon
  • You will provide emergent general surgery coverage at the Aurora St. Luke's South Shore Hospital in Cudahy, a 275-bed hospital serving the Milwaukee and South Shore community, the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, a 132-bed hospital with a strong emphasis on healing, and the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, a 386-bed hospital offering a wide range of medical specialty care in a culturally affirming and compassionate environment
  • You will join an established team of supportive skilled surgeons at each location  and appreciate the experienced team of APC’s who will provide additional support for the practice
  • You will enjoy a unique schedule with 7 days on and 7 days off, (approx. 168 shifts annually)  Friday to Friday, offering you an outstanding work/life balance
  • Weekday coverage Monday-Thursday will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; evening coverage is provided by the rotation of elective general surgeons
  • Weekend shifts are 24 hours, coverage starts at noon Friday though 7 a.m. Monday morning
  • This is an ACS only position, 100% inpatient, and you will have no significant elective surgery responsibilities unless patients seen during call weeks require surgery at a later time; clinic space available as needed for those patients
