Advocate Health is seeking an acute care general surgeon to join our physician-led medical group and serve patients at two dedicated community hospitals, the Aurora West Allis Medical Center in West Allis, Wisconsin and the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

  • Full-time acute care surgeon
  • You will cover two facilities, the Aurora West Allis Medical Center, a 350-bed nationally recognized facility in West Allis, Wisconsin, and the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, a 938-bed quaternary care facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • You will join an established team of skilled surgeons at both facilities, and enjoy not only supportive partners but also an experienced team of APC’s who will provide additional support in a robust practice environment
  • You will provide care with approximately 140 24-hour shifts; patient volumes will vary based on inpatient acute care needs
  • This is an ACS only position, 100% inpatient, and you will have no significant elective surgery responsibilities unless patients seen during call weeks require surgery at a later time; clinic space available as needed for those patients
  • Call coverage on off days will be provided by rotation of surgeons in both groups
