Join one of the nation’s largest, most respected health systems and experience what it means to live well. Advocate Health is seeking a board certified trauma and acute care surgeon to serve its patients at Advocate Condell Medical Center, in Libertyville, Illinois.



Job details
  • Full time acute care/trauma surgeon
  • Condell Medical Center, located in Chicago’s northern suburbs, is a 257-bed acute care hospital offering around the clock care, and is the only Level I hospital in Lake County
  • This is a robust trauma and acute care surgery practice with
    a diverse group of experienced partners 
  • In addition to ACS and trauma, you will also have the opportunity to establish an elective practice 
  • As a busy Level I Center, trauma/emergent surgical calls include blunt and penetrating trauma, head injuries, hernias, bowels, etc.
  • Full complement of subspecialists and intensivists are
    available to support you and your patients
  • The group currently rotates to cover trauma and acute care surgery call and is approximately 1:4; weekend coverage is Friday 7 AM-7 PM, Saturday 24 hours, and Sunday 7 AM-11 AM
  • General surgery call is shared and will be approximately 1:9Dedicated staff includes RN, MA and APCs in the hospital
  • EPIC EMR
Training and/or experience required
  • Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program 
  • Trauma/acute fellowship desired, however not required
  • Collaborative, compassionate and supportive partner
